Compound Birds

We made compound birds.  Compound birds are made up from compound words.  Samuel reminded us that "Compound words are two words which have been squashed together to make one word".
Here are some examples:

rain+bow=rainbow (Isabelle)
sun+day=Sunday (Adam)
foot+ball=football (Lucy)
snow+man=snowman (Erin)

Here is Erin's snowman compound bird and Samuel's football compound bird:

Your spelling words for this week are also compound words:

postbox
rainbow
football
Sunday
teapot
lunchbox
homework
toothbrush

snowman
postbox
lunchbox
homework
then
but
