It's the holidays!! Yippee!
Your challenge over the half term holiday is to create the craziest alien names you possibly can! On your homework sheet choose one sound from each of the columns to make weird and wonderful words. Then you could draw some aliens to go with each name.

As mentioned at the Phonics Workshop last month, during the week beginning 18th June, we will be doing a statutory phonics screener with all of the Year 1 children. This includes a mixture of real and 'alien' words. It will test the children's decoding skills and ability to blend sounds to make words.
