Today has been THE most exciting day ever in Year 1. It all started when the teachers nipped to the staff room at playtime to get a cup of tea when suddenly they heard a loud CRASH in the hall next door, Mr Cruickshank came running into the room as white as paper and explained that something had crashed through the skylight! He taped off the area ready for Year One to investigate what had happened...

We all marched down to the hall and sat in a circle around the edge. We talked about what might have happened:
"A spaceship has crashed!!"
"Its come through the roof."
"Its an invasion!"

| We wondered what the objects could be |

| We were very careful |
 |
| Some of us wore goggles to protect our eyes |
 |
| We found an envelope with a weird language written on it |
 |
| We found some weird liquid..."It might be slime or alien sick!" |
Harry was looking underneath some weird shiny fabric when something moved...It was a weird looking alien that moved and made a noise! We all screeched!

After more searching in the wreckage we found another alien...
 |
"Its red and shiny!"
And then we found ANOTHER alien!!

We took the aliens to the bump room to check they were okay
Back in our classrooms we examined the objects like real scientists. We wrote labels for what we think each item might be

We also found some shiny envelopes...one of them contained a message in a strange language. We are going to decode the message tomorrow and will let you know what it says! More alien adventures to follow...
