Beegu Drama!

Today we did some amazing drama. We re-read the story of Beegu, pausing and talking about how she was feeling at certain points in the story. We discussed how we could tell she was feeling a certain way by looking at her body.

Happy-

“Her ears are up and pointy”
“Her eyes look sparkly and bright!”
“She is standing up straight.”

Sad-

“Her ears are flopped down.”
“Her body looks droopy.”
“Her eyes are almost shut!”

We then created a ‘Feelings alley’. We looked at pictures from the book and talked about how she was feeling and what had made her feel like that. We stood in 2 lines and one child wore either a happy or sad Beegu hat and walked down the alley way of children. We created the atmosphere from the story to make Beegu feel happy or sad.

Happy Beegu snuggling up with the puppies

Frightened and walking down the street of mean, busy adults

Excited and walking through the playground of kind children
